I try to create blocks of Styrofoam cheese school project. Where to find large blocks of Styrofoam?
I have done dozens of large wheels of cheese to one part among many other things. I prefer to use the XPS foam covered with cheese, dressing and the size (glue Elmer). I was lucky enough to obtain polystyrene (EPS (polystyrene) or extruded polystyrene (XPS)) from stores like Michael's, Wal-Mart, et al. (They have small blocks or thin sheets of business, but never carry large blocks.) I special ordered 2 "thick sheets (4×8) from my local hobby shop and then beat them to the thickness (Elmer, because the solvent melt adhesive foam only). Depending on the state you are, you will find the leaves of May 1 "-3" of 3M foam insulation board to your local Home Depot or Lowe's …. Polyurethane foam (upholstery) could work well if covered with cheese and dressing mixture of starch, but it may be deformed. You can also search the Yellow Pages for a supplier of plastic and see if they carry Foam can mix … Part two subjects that you and pour the mixture … expands and can be molded! I like to use for carving! GOOD LUCK
