Why does it take 8 to 10 weeks to process financial aid for college in the Lone Star?
Other schools have not much time, if anyone knows the process step by step would really help.
Most universities will tell you You Need a certain number of weeks. Not really, and if you have all the papers in order, are able to treat. However, they have many students who have completed their paperwork before you or at the same time. Do not take much time for an exchange student, but when you have lots of students the award or in a queue, you can take some time. You must call your financial aid office to see if you have all the documents required are returned to them. The process goes something like this. You file the FAFSA online, obtaining results within a few days, but many Schools are downloaded every day. When your FAFSA – which we call a ISIR and the copy you receive by mail or e-mail is an endangered species – for see if there is no verification or rejection indicator codes. Your FAFSA may be rejected for several reasons, as you enter the information properly, SS built not registered with the Selective Service, etc. A flag of the audit, the financial aid office must verify certain information on the FAFSA.
