How can I grow peonies from seed?
I have a wonderful shrub Peonie I like being able to unite and cultivate the seeds of another. I am not sure how. "The seeds must be dried? The pods are left after the flowers are dying in reality, the seed? I know you can be easier to divide the plant, but I refuse to do so because they want to lose this plant. The flowers are the size of a grapefruit super big and the color of red velvet! Thank you for any help!
Double peony seeds are dormant and require cold stratification. Some produce seeds of peony red and black jacket in the seed itself. Discard the red seeds and use only the black seeds are the only ones how are you fertile seeds. Place the seeds in a pot this fall and cool the seeds outside.
